Caramelized Onion Egg Salad with Balsamic

Some of the best dishes at a gathering are the simplest ones. Our book club egg salad is a perfect example: a handful of ingredients, no fuss, and a flavor that has guests asking what makes it different.

The secret is caramelized onion. Most recipes ask you to stand at the stove for 20 to 30 minutes, slowly cooking onions until they turn sweet and golden. We skip that step entirely. A small spoonful of our Midnight Caramelized Onion Dark Balsamic brings the same deep, sweet flavor in seconds, stirred right into the mayonnaise.

From there, it's all about the finish. A drizzle of Smoked EVOO adds a gentle, savory warmth, and a pinch of Signature Black Garlic Sea Salt brings a little crunch and a striking dark color against the pale eggs.

It's the kind of recipe that makes hosting feel easy. Make it ahead, set it out with toasted bread or crackers, and let the conversation do the rest.
