Spiced Balsamic Buttercream
Cinnamon buttercream is a fall classic. This one adds a finish most frostings don't have: a reduction of Lush Orchard Fruit Balsamic, a Greek fruit balsamic that brings a bright, fruity note to the warm spice.
The recipe comes from Kelly Calton, who co-owns [Outside the Lines Painting and Crafts] with her sister. She created it to top her [blueberry balsamic spice cupcakes], and it works just as well on carrot cake, pumpkin bread or sandwiched between ginger cookies.
The only step to plan ahead is the [One-Ingredient Lush Orchard Balsamic Reduction]. Make it first and chill it, because warm syrup will melt the butter. After that, the frosting comes together in 15 minutes.
Add milk slowly. There is no set amount. A teaspoon at a time, stop when it pipes or spreads the way you want.
It's a pantry staple. It's a gift. It's an experience. Same bottle.
