Bubbles, Bites & a Crown Point Mystery: An Evening with Author Gregory Stark
Thursday, December 10, 2026 | 6 to 8 pm
The Outward Olive | Crown Point, Indiana
$35 per guest
Raise a glass to the season with an evening of wine, festive bites and a story set right here in Crown Point.
We're co-hosting this evening with Crown Point author Gregory Stark, whose dark fantasy novel The Counterwritten: The Shroud of Crown Point (Book One of the Oneirion Trilogy) follows four Northwest Indiana teenagers in the summer of 1979 as they uncover the mystery of Eliza Shroud. Gregory will read from the book, and he will have copies available for purchase.
Taste four 2 oz wine pours, each matched with its own pairing on a single-serve charcuterie board and named for one of the book's four friends:
- Corinne, who senses what others cannot: rosé with prosciutto, brie and raspberries and Honeyed Raspberry White Balsamic
- Jasper, who hides fear behind humor: sangria with a pork meatball, white cheddar and dried cranberries and Jeweled Cran-Pearberry Fruit Balsamic
- Simon, who trusts logic and evidence: champagne with salami, aged Parmesan and almonds and Lumière Truffle extra virgin olive oil
- Wilder, who sees changes no one else notices: Portuguese red blend with capicola, aged gouda and dark chocolate and Midnight Caramelized Onion Dark Balsamic
With your ticket, enjoy 10% off a bottle of wine.
Come with friends, bring someone you love, or join us on your own. There's always room at our table.
