Why We’re Starting a Book Club at the Table
Some of the best conversations we’ve had in this shop happened by accident. Someone comes in for a bottle of balsamic, mentions the book they’re halfway through, and twenty minutes later there’s a small crowd around the tasting bar trading recommendations.
We started noticing it enough that it felt worth making room for on purpose.
That’s the idea behind Book Club. This Wednesday, July 15th, from 11am to 1pm, we’re opening the doors for our very first gathering. There’s no book to read beforehand and nothing to prepare. This first meeting is really just about getting everyone in the same room: talking through what genres people are drawn to, what a good gathering looks like to this particular group, and choosing our first pick together before anyone leaves.
We like that order of operations. Too many book clubs start with an assignment before anyone’s decided if they even want to be in the club. We’d rather build the room first.
While you’re here, we’ll be pouring two signature sips, both made with our Honeyed Raspberry White Balsamic. The Honeyed Raspberry Spritzer is bright and effervescent, the kind of glass that feels right for a late-morning gathering. If you’d rather skip the alcohol, we’ll also have a Raspberry Dirty Soda, a fun, non-alcoholic twist that’s just as easy to sip through two hours of conversation.
If you want a taste before Wednesday, here’s the Honeyed Raspberry Spritzer you can make at home:

This is also just an extension of what we’ve believed since we opened our doors: the table is for more than eating. It’s for slowing down enough to actually talk to the people next to you. A good book club, like a good glass of olive oil, rewards you for taking your time with it.
If Wednesday, July 15, 2026, does not work for your schedule, we’d still love to see you at Thursday Pour the following evening, same address, same open door.
If you can make it to Book Club, come as you are. No book required, just yourself and maybe an opinion about what we should read first.
Come for the conversation, stay for the pour.
Complimentary to attend, with drinks available for purchase.
We’re at 794 N Main Street in Crown Point. Come pull up a chair.
Gather Well, Gift Beautifully.
