All of the infused Extra Virgin Olive Oils (EVOO) offered by The Outward Olive are sourced from the Mediterranean region of Tunisia, renowned as one of the world's top olive-producing areas. Our high-quality EVOO is dry-farmed, relying solely on rainwater under the hot, dry sun, and is cultivated without the use of pumped irrigation or pesticides across multiple farms owned by the same producer. Their traditional methods have remained unchanged since ancient times!
Each year, olives are harvested in the fall, ensuring peak levels of polyphenols and antioxidants for our oils. The resulting blend of Chetoui, Arbequina, and Chemali olives creates a versatile oil with a smooth flavor, rich mouthfeel, and fresh taste.
Our EVOO is first harvest and cold-pressed, meaning it is neither refined nor processed, preserving the maximum amount of antioxidants and health benefits found in the olives. Cold pressing involves grinding the olives into a paste and then pressing them to extract the oil, resulting in a pure and flavorful product.
Once imported to the U.S., our olive oil undergoes third-party testing for quality and purity. If you're curious about the results, we are happy to share! Each bottle is then infused with essential oils from natural plants, handcrafted and made to order, using all-natural flavorings and vegan ingredients.
